Training Day Objectives:

One of LACNIC´s objectives is the contribution to the growth and development of the Internet in Latin America. In addition, LACNIC promotes educational opportunities and public policies regarding the Internet.

Therefore, the objectives of this Training Day are:

• To inform the Internet community members about LACNIC and its activities.
• To give information about the management of the Internet resources at the global and regional level.
• To give explanation of how to get IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, and ASN (Autonomous System Number) resources in Latin America.
• To make known the means and procedures through which the community participates in the policy development process.
• To explain the methods and procedures used by LACNIC for the management of the Internet resources requests.
• Finally, to explain the use of LACNIC interface for the Internet resources management and the Interactive System of Internet Resources Analysis.

This session is mainly oriented to organizations that need these resources in order to stably operate their Internet access or service activities.
