According to LACNIC commitment with Internet Stability, Since September 24th
2003, LACNIC has been monitoring the existence of Lame Delegation in the
inverse resolution zones of IP address blocks registered in the LACNIC WHOIS
Data Base.
Basically, lame delegation occurs when the DNS server registered in LACNIC
system like the responsible for reverse resolution of some IP address block
is not properly configured for such functionality.
Due to this problem the LACNIC Open Policy Forum in its meeting in April
2004 agreed the application of a new policy for the deactivation of those
servers with Lame Delegation problems.
The implementation of this policy began in June 26th 2005
